Abstract: The Industrial Revolution 4.0 (Industry 4.0) has been taking place rapidly and strongly, making a profound impact on all fields. In the digital era, higher education will undergo profound changes from the educational environment, the role of teachers, learners to teaching methods. The university is the place that provides the largest and most qualified human resource of the society, especially in the field of creative entrepreneurship, which is facing enormous challenges and needs to change drastically to adapt to the future society. The following article aims to clarify the necessity of building innovation-oriented universities in Vietnamese universities. On that basis, the article suggests some solutions towards innovation-oriented university building activities to adapt to new circumstances.
