Designing materials to support extensive reading teaching in 5th grade Vietnamese

Abstract

Extensive reading is one of the four requirements of reading comprehension. Especially in the current period, the new textbook program for 5th graders has not been completed yet, so extended reading materials for 5th graders have not been selected. The selection of reading comprehension materials and exercises to practice reading comprehension skills play an important role in improving students’ reading skills. This study proposes a number of reading materials and corresponding study sheets according to the orientation of the General Education Program in Literature 2018.
