Renewing teaching methods is always a current issue with significant importance in education and training. The orientation towards innovation in teaching methods is to organize and guide learners to active and creative study, and to resist passive learning habits. According to this, there are many teaching methods (traditional and modern) which have been researched, selected, and applied in all levels of education. Among these, project-based learning has been widely concerned by many countries around the world. This article discusses the role of lecturers and students in project-based learning, as well as analyzes the competencies demonstrated in project products. This is truly a great challenge for many universities. However, that does not mean that we cannot do it. The change will certainly bring practical results in improving the quality of university education in the present and future.
