Abstract

Constrastive linguistics was founded during a critical historical period marked by the rise of several independent states and substantial scientific and technological progress, especially after the 1970s. The field of Comparative Linguistics highlights the increasing necessity of intellectual and cultural interactions between civilizations, which is fueled by external forces such the foundation of independent countries with multilingualism, the growth of varied regions, and the emergence of new ethnic populations. This calls for significant advancements in translation and language learning methodologies. Scholars are internally forced to become multilingual in order to tackle certain language problems. Comparing and contrasting Vietnamese and English pronouns is essential because it helps us better grasp how pronoun usage and structure in these two languages transmit ideas and meanings.
