The Industrial Revolution 4.0 has been changing all aspects of social life, including the field of higher education. Therefore, improving professional and professional capacity for teaching staff is necessary to improve the training quality of universities, including local universities. This article presents the role of lecturers, limitations on the quality of teaching staff for local universities, thereby proposing some solutions to improve professional and professional capacity for lecturers at local universities in the current period.
