Abstract

Nouns as adverbs are the most commonly used grammatical phe-nomenon in ancient and modern Chinese. There are many similarities and dif-ferences between them. With a limited scope, the article conducts a contras-tive analysis of the similarities and differences of adverbial nouns in ancient and modern Chinese with the purpose of contributing a part of reference ma-terials to improve the quality of teaching and learning ancient Chinese.
