Abstract

After the victory of the August Revolution in 1945, President Ho Chi Minh and the Party skillfully navigated the "revolutionary boat" through numerous difficulties, facing both internal and external threats to protect the young independence. Confronted with the dire fate of the nation, our Party, led by President Ho Chi Minh, creatively applied Marxist-Leninist theory on mobilizing the masses and inherited the tradition of national unity accumulated over thousands of years of nation-building and defense. This was evident in the "Call for Nationwide Resistance" in December 1946. This call served as a rallying cry for the entire nation to rise up against French colonial invaders and achieve victory.
