Abstract

The 2018 Literature General Education Program includes positive developments for teachers and students in general schools. Literature strives to create and improve learners’ abilities and traits through innovative methods and approaches to learning. Creativity is one of the required skills for students to develop when studying literature, particularly during the hours spent teaching reading comprehension of literary texts. Reading and understanding fables in the 7-grade program is critical for developing creative abilities and maximizing kids’ advantages. Based on an analysis of creative abilities and their manifestations, as well as a survey of the current situation of teaching and learning to read and understand fables to develop creative abilities, the article proposes several measures to teach reading and understanding fables to develop this ability for secondary school students.
