Soft skills framework proposal for students majoring in Education in Vietnam

Abstract

The new context causes new challenges and requirements of integration, to survive, develop, manage, and master work and modern life in an increasingly dynamic environment. Faced with many pressures and high competitive pressures, students, especially pedagogical students, need to be equipped with “soft” skills. This article studies the current status of soft skills development of pedagogical students at some universities. The results show that a large number of pedagogical students lack pedagogical skills and soft skills. Leading to limitations in meeting professional standards for teachers, greatly affecting the quality of education in particular and the quality of human resources and labor resources in general. Based on the discussion of the current situation and urgent practical requirements above, the author proposes a core soft skills framework in training for pedagogical students to contribute to improving the quality of education and training of current students.
