Abstract

In early childhood education programs, exploring the surrounding environment in kindergarten classes for 5-6-year-olds plays a crucial role in providing fundamental knowledge to children before they enter primary school. Guiding children to explore the environment involves teachers creating an environment, setting up situations, and organizing activities for children to interact with and experience the objects and phenomena in their surroundings. Through this, children understand the characteristics, attributes, relationships, development, and changes of objects and phenomena, developing observation, comparison, classification, measurement, judgment, problem-solving skills, expressing their opinions, and making decisions. The article presents some strategies for organizing experimental activities to stimulate the curiosity of 5-6-year-old children in exploring the environment.
