Abstract

This article presents the design of integrated teaching situations in digital circuits and arithmetic for fourth-grade students. The aim is to help students develop thinking skills alongside problem-solving abilities and applying solutions to real-life situations. The scenarios introduced are linked to practical life situations and stimulate students’ interest. In reality, teachers have many favorable conditions to implement integrated teaching situation design skills; however, they also encounter several challenges. Based on an investigation of the current state of integrated teaching situation design in Mathematics by elementary teachers, this article proposes a design process and suggests application in the teaching content of digital circuits and arithmetic.
