Abstract

Construction, exploitation, and closure of surface mining, and topographic maps at large scales of 1:2000, 1:1000, and 1:500 are permanent tools to directly serve the management and organization of mine production and management. Large-scale maps are a tool to monitor changes in the mine bank deformation process, supporting the process of stabilizing mine bank control - a decisive factor for efficiency and safety on the mining site. The role of large-scale topographic maps in surface mining and the reality of geodetic-mapping work in mines shows that creating large-scale maps in surface mining using UAV technology is a regular job, takes up the most time and effort in the work of surface mining surveying and plays an important role in teaching students of surveying and mapping engineering.
