Abstract

It can be said that reception is the activity appropriating the ideological and artistic values of a literary work and also a creative activity expanding several dimensions of the work’s existence in life. In the process of decoding a literary work, although readers have a certain freedom, it does not mean that there are no any limitations. The article mainly focuses on understanding the roles and the limitations of the reader in receiving literary works as well as proposing principles of approaching these works for students in reading and understanding literary works at high schools.
