Abstract

Idioms have always been a headache problem for foreign language learner, which is attributed
to special semantic structrers and rich figurative meaning. There are many common features between
Chinese and Vietnamese in terms of expression forms and semantic structrers because of similar language
types and universality of human cognitive thinking. However, individual differences arise between the
emotional idioms in term of expression forms and of metaphor construction
