Abstract

The article focuses on analyzing the role of algorithm optimization in enhancing processing
performance and optimizing system resource utilization. It discusses the concept of computational
complexity, classifies basic algorithm groups such as arithmetic algorithms, sorting algorithms, and
searching algorithms, and illustrates these concepts through the problem of calculating the sum of all
positive divisors of a positive integer n (where n ≤ 10¹²). Experimental results demonstrate that selecting
and optimizing appropriate algorithms significantly impact program execution efficiency and the
scalability of computing systems
