Solutions to improve English reading comprehension skills for first-year non-English major students at Nam Dinh University of Technology and Education

Abstract

Abstract: Language learning is not only limited to the acquisition of vocabulary and grammar but also the mastery of skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Among the skills mentioned above, reading comprehension is an important component that contributes to effective communication. Through this article, the authors highlight the importance of English reading comprehension skills, the difficulties learners encounter in the process of reading comprehension, thereby proposing some solutions to improve reading comprehension skills for first year non-English major student at Nam Dinh University of Technology Education.
