Teaching English following competence-based approach through experiential activities for non-specialized students at Hai Phong University

Abstract

English is a subject with the goal of learning not only to understand, to know English but also to learn to use English in work and in life. In fact, non-English major students of Hai Phong University are still very limited in their ability to communicate in English. Therefore, teaching English through experiential activities helps students both learn and practice and helps develop students’ ability to use the language. The article introduces some experiential activities that can be applied to non-language major students at Hai Phong University to develop their language capacity.
