Abstract

When creating any type of text, students must clearly understand the characteristics of that type of text. To understand the characteristics of each type of text, students can search and read texts of the same type by themselves or be generalized by teachers through sample texts in teaching reading comprehension. Therefore, the combination of teaching reading comprehension and writing skills is indispensable. The analysis of sample text according to genre characteristics will help students master the genre characteristics. From there, they apply to create better text, improve writing ability for students.
