The situation of the teaching local educational contents in grade 6 following the 2018 secondary school program in Ho Chi Minh city

Abstract

In order to encourage creativity, practise attitudes and skills, and equip students to use knowledge and think critically and emotionally in order to solve issues, a number of new disciplines have been added to the general education curriculum for 2018. practical issues specific to each student’s life. Local educational material is one of such disciplines, and it will be taught in the 2021–2022 academic year. The application of this subject also appears in Ho Chi Minh City. In order for some schools to meet the objectives and standards established by the MOET, a number of challenges need to be resolved. This article will explain the following constraints after one year of implementation.
