Abstract

The 2018 general education program focuses on innovating educational methods, strongly shifting the educational process from mainly equipping knowledge to comprehensively developing learners’ capabilities and qualities. Using learning games in teaching is an educational approach where students interact, experience, explore and solve problems in a fun learning environment. Teachers connect learning goals with organizing games to promote student participation and autonomy, thereby contributing to the development of learners’ qualities and abilities. In this article, we refer to the process of designing learning games to organize teaching of natural and social subjects in grade 2 towards developing learners’ competencies.
