Building some types of exercises on words to develop language ability for 4th graders

Abstract

In elementary school, starting from grade 1, students are introduced to various types of words through examples such as words for objects, actions, and attributes. By grade 4, the study of new vocabulary is approached more deeply and systematically, including concepts such as nouns, verbs, and adjectives. However, identifying these word types in Vietnamese is not an easy task. Therefore, this article aims to present various exercises on vocabulary with the goal of enhancing language abilities for 4th grade students. At the same time, it offers assistance to teachers for more effective instruction when teaching this knowledge area in Vietnamese classrooms.
