The impact of the 2018 General Education Program on the design thinking competence of high school students in Hanoi

Abstract

Design thinking competency is an essential competency that needs to be developed for students. This research was conducted to survey and provide practical insights into students’ experiences with STEM education-related activities and the self-assessment of high school students’ design thinking competency. Comparing the survey data of 12th-grade students (2006 curriculum) and 11th-grade students (2018 curriculum) also offers information about the positive impact of the new program on students’ design thinking competency.
