Developing self-development competence for 6th graders in Citizenship Education through project-based teaching

Abstract

The orientation to develop qualities and abilities for learners is a breakthrough approach of the 2018 General Education Program. In addition to general abilities and qualities, all subjects aim to help pupils form and develop specific abilities. In Civic Education, three specific competencies include: behavioral adjustment capacity; self-development capacity; capacity to learn and participate in socio-economic activities. In this article, we use project teaching method to develop self-development capacity for 6th grade pupils in Civic Education.
