Abstract

Task-based approach has been playing an important role in teaching English. Many educators take advantage of this approach to foster learners’ English knowledge and skills. This paper is going to provide some background and define the roles of teachers and students in this approach. Besides that, the procedure of task-based approach is also introduced in the next part. Based on this procedure, the roles of teachers and students are clearly illustrated with the hope of helping English teaching and learning process become more effective.
