Abstract

The article describes the negative impact of the atmosphere, especially the lower atmospheric layer, on the measurement accuracy of ground laser scanning systems, including values such as distance, horizontal and vertical angles, intensity, and true color of object surfaces. In evaluating the factors influencing measurements due to the lower atmospheric layer, considerations include phenomena like scattering, intensity reduction, and color variation of object surfaces. Other factors such as vibrations and random fluctuations of electromagnetic waves also affect the accuracy of the scanning process. The study suggests using a formula to calculate the refractive index to optimize measurement conditions.
