Abstract

Mathematics is a fundamental science and an important tool in education, enhancing reasoning, thinking, and problem-solving skills. Basic mathematical knowledge and skills enable individuals to apply them to solve real-world problems systematically and accurately, contributing to the development of society. According to the General Education Program 2018, mathematics education emphasizes the formation and development of students’ qualities and capabilities, including mathematical thinking and reasoning, mathematical modeling, mathematical problem solving, mathematical communication, and the use of mathematical tools and resources. Mathematics in secondary schools not only helps develop mathematical qualities and capabilities for students but also builds connections between mathematical ideas, mathematics with reality, and with other subjects.
