Factors affecting the teaching of Mathematics in primary schools according to STEAM education

Abstract

STEAM education helps children form and practice knowledge and skills through topics and lessons on topics related to real life. With a multi-dimensional interactive educational method, combining Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and Art to help inspire students to learn. in dry theoretical subjects. This study explores the factors that influence the organization of STEAM-oriented Math teaching for elementary school students. Exploratory factor analysis method is used, with 24 questions we designed and sent to elementary teachers via Google form channel. Based on the results from 252 survey subjects and data analyzed through SPSS software, the results of exploratory factor analysis identified 4 factors that were discovered to affect the organization of subject teaching. Mathematics oriented STEAM education for elementary school students. This study suggests future research directions on proposing effective measures for teaching and learning Mathematics.
