Abstract

This branch of computer science is concerned with making computers behave like humans. Artificial intelligence includes gaming, expert systems, neural networks, natural language, and robotics. Currently, there is no computer that fully demonstrates artificial intelligence (that is, capable of simulating human behavior). The greatest advances have occurred in the field of gaming. The best computer chess programs available today are capable of beating humans. Today, the hottest area of artificial intelligence is neural networks, which are proving successful in several areas such as speech recognition and natural language processing.
