The objective of this paper is to identify the challenges faced by first-year students at Vietnam National University, University of Economics and Business, specifically in the acquisition of listening skills. The study explores implications for both students and teachers based on the findings. The research involves a sample of 90 students selected randomly from various majors, and data is gathered through a survey consisting of 10 questions.
