Abstract

In Vietnam’s evolving educational landscape, the integration of technology in English language learning has become increasingly prevalent. This study aims to provide a thorough examination of Vietnamese students’ English reading proficiency, comparing the effectiveness of reading on computers versus traditional printed books. Through a mixed-methods approach, incorporating statistical analysis, and empirical evidence, this article explores various facets of reading proficiency, including comprehension, retention, and preferences. The findings reveal nuanced differences between reading formats, with implications for pedagogical practices and literacy initiatives in Vietnam.
