Abstract

The jigsaw classroom, developed by Elliot Aronson at the University of Texas, Austin in 1971, is a popular collaborative learning method aimed at fostering cooperation among students in a classroom setting. It achieves this by establishing interdependence among individuals as they work together towards a shared objective. Over the years, the jigsaw technique has been adapted and effectively employed by educators across various educational levels, spanning from kindergarten to graduate school.
