Applying communicative language teaching in teaching english at high schools

Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) has become more and more popular in Language Teaching nowadays because it does not only help students to get language proficiency, but also brings excitement into English classes. Thanks to this, teaching and learning English become more productive. Applying this method, however, meets several obstacles such as: big class size, students’ passiveness, exam stress, …In order to overcome these, schools, teachers and students need to join hands so that CLT brings the most effectiveness into their English teaching and learning.
