Abstract

The changes brought about by the 2018 General Education Program have affected all aspects of the teaching process, including assessment activities. In addition to traditional assessment tools, in recent years, rubric has become a widely used assessment tool in teaching with a focus on competency development. The article has analyzed the advantages of using rubric in teaching - learning writing skills, thereby designing some rubric templates to assess students’ writing competency, contributing to improving the quality of teaching and learning writing in the 2018 Literature curriculum in general and Literature grade 9 in particular.
