Abstract
The article focuses on clarifying the theoretical basis, current situation and proposing the process of using a combination of group discussion and role-play to develop student competences at Binh Trung Secondary and High School, Bac Kan province in teaching the 11th grade Economic and Legal Education to improve the quality of the subject, meeting the requirements of educational innovation. The article uses the logical-historical, analysis-synthesis method to evaluate the current situation, provide procedures and requirements in teaching this subject with the combination of group discussion and role-play.
