Abstract

To develop students’ reading comprehension ability, in addition to teaching readings in textbooks, teachers need to introduce new vocabulary and instruct appropriate reading methods. This article presents methods to help middle school students know how to read and understand extended texts, thereby forming genre-specific reading skills in an active and creative way.
