Abstract

This article presents the findings of a research study that examines semantic errors made by non English majored students at ULIS, VNU. The study involved 106 writing papers of 50 first year students from the SNHU international program at ULIS, VNU who submitted writing papers for analysis. A combination of qualitative and quantitative techniques was utilized to ensure the accuracy and dependability of the results. The study’s outcomes indicate a significant number of lexical errors made by in-service students, with formal errors surpassing semantic errors in frequency.
