Exploring the influence of Hallyu on the Korean language learning experience and awareness of Korean education of Vietnamese youth

Abstract

This study explores the profound influence of the Korean cultural wave (Hallyu) on Korean language learning and awareness of Korean education among Vietnamese youth. Using computational research methods based on in-depth interviews and content analysis, the study explores the experiences, feelings and perceptions of Vietnamese youth aged 15-25 years old in big cities. The results show that Hallyu creates significant motivation and influence in young people’s simple choice of Korean language learning resources. At the same time, Hallyu also defines a positive perception model about the quality education system and the need to study abroad in Korea. People who have a deep understanding of Hallyu’s influence on Korean language learning activities and young people’s educational awareness provide practical information to propose policies and final solutions. Provide cultural exchange, Vietnamese - Korean educational cooperation is more effective.
