ABSTRACT
Along with the development of telecommunications networks and growing needs of users, information
systems in general and optical information systems in particular are becoming increasingly complex. It
is mandatory to use OptiSystem software to simulate optical communication systems to analyze, calculate
and design these systems. This software has the ability to design, test and optimize many types of optical
communication routes, based on the ability to model optical communication systems in reality. On that basis,
the authors used OptiSystem software to calculate and simulate the EDFA optical amplifier.
