Culture is an integral part of the communication process. Therefore, students cannot use the language correctly without understanding the culture. In fact, cultural teaching in English language teaching has been noticed for many years now (Brooks, 1968). The purpose of this study is to find out the content, reasons and approaches of cultural teaching in English language teaching. In this research paper, 13 articles were collected and analyzed. The content of cultural teaching is divided into aesthetics, sociology and pragmatics. The study also emphasizes the importance of cultural teaching in English language teaching and also emphasizes that cross-cultural approach is the most optimal method.
