Developing cognitive skills for preschool children is one of the important goals of preschools, contributing to the formation and comprehensive development of children's personality. The article pres-ents the results of a survey on the current status of developing communication skills for children aged 4-5 through STEAM educational activities in preschools in Hanoi. Survey results show that children aged 4-5 in Hanoi have a fairly good level of social skills. However, there are still some children who cannot cooperate effectively in STEAM educational activities. The results of this research have practical signifi-cance in improving the quality of life-skills education for children aged 4-5 through STEAM educational activities in preschools.
