Abstract

The article focuses on portraying the image of Vietnamese women in revolutionary songs, especially during the two resistance wars against the French and the Americans. The image of resilient, indomitable, and brave girls facing the enemy, both producing and fighting, is depicted through many songs. The love for the country, the belief in Uncle Ho, in the revolution, and the silent sacrifice of Vietnamese women are also exploited and conveyed by musicians through profound melodies and lyrics. The article also mentions the difficulties and losses that Vietnamese women had to endure during the war. It was the longing for husbands and children, the sacrifice of youth, and the unbearable pain. However, in any circumstances, they still maintained their belief in the future, in the independence and freedom of the nation.
