Abstract

The preservation and promotion of cultural values, particularly those of ethnic minorities, in conjunction with sustainable tourism development in Dien Bien province is an urgent issue essential for fostering the province’s tourism growth. This study employs an interdisciplinary approach and systematic analysis to identify potentials and propose multidimensional solutions for preserving and promoting cultural values to support tourism development in ethnic minority areas of Dien Bien. The findings indicate that integrating cultural preservation into tourism development not only safeguards cultural identity but also serves as a catalyst for local economic growth. Successful development requires the synchronized implementation of policies, practices, and promotional efforts to effectively leverage cultural values in tourism development.
