Some solutions for managing the construction of drainage systems according to the orientation of green urban development

Abstract

Vietnam is facing increasing environmental pollution due to rapid urbanization, especially in large cities. Over the past 20 years, the Vietnamese Government has developed many policies, issued many legal documents and invested in urban technical infrastructure, specifically drainage and wastewater treatment systems. However, the urban wastewater management sector continues to face important problems that have not been thoroughly resolved, resulting in low efficiency: most wastewater is discharged directly into the surface drainage system, sludge management in most cities is still weak, the ability to recover construction investment costs and operating and maintenance costs in general is still low... The main purpose of this research article is to propose some solutions for urban drainage systems to apply to urban areas in Hung Yen province - one of the provinces with the fastest urbanization rate and most dynamic development in the country.
