Abstract

Most cement is produced by the dry method because of its economic and technical efficiency. During the production process, the cement grinding stage directly impacts the fineness, thereby affecting the quality of cement. In measures to improve grinding efficiency, grinding aids are a commonly used a solution. This paper presents the results of a study evaluating the grinding aid effectiveness of two additives, Diethanolisopropanolamine (DEIPA) and Triethanolamine (TEA). In the study, the raw materials used to produce Hai Phong cement PCB30 include clinker, PG limestone, black limestone, and slag, and natural gypsum was replaced with Dinh Vu PG artificial gypsum. The effectiveness of grinding aids is evaluated through the fineness, specific surface area, and compressive strength at 28 days of cement according to TCVN methods. The results showed that grinding aids TEA and DEIPA increase the surface area ratio of cement samples using PG Dinh Vu artificial gypsum with values of 5730 and 5800 cm2/g, respectively.
