Abstract

In the construction field, the construction organization process plays a key role in transforming the design into reality, requiring planning and selection of construction options to be carried out scientifically, systematically and based on many technical, economic and environmental criteria. In addition to the criteria of quality, time and cost, the emission control criterion is being concerned with the orientation of sustainable development and has become an urgent requirement. In particular, when the emission control criterion is included together with traditional objectives such as cost, progress, safety and technical feasibility, the problem of establishing a construction option becomes a multi-objective optimization problem with internal contradictions. Therefore, the construction and development of a specialized multi-objective optimization algorithm, capable of handling conflicting objectives simultaneously and effectively, is a necessary focus of research. On the other hand, scientific and technical experts are also making efforts to research better solutions for handling multiple objectives. This article presents an overview of the development of multi-objective optimization algorithms, their advantages and development orientation in using optimization methods using multi-objective algorithms in construction planning.
