Survey on training qualifications and training demands of employees in construction lab

Abstract

In the past years, the training and fostering of professional knowledge for construction testers and laboratory staff s have partly met the demand for capacity building for the experimenter teams in construction laboratories. However, the equipping and updating of knowledge, new standards and new skills have not received much attention. The training program is still fragmented, and inconsistent and meets the requirements of international integration. These lead to the uneven capacity and qualifications of the experimenters. This study focuses on surveying and assessing the current situation of qualifications, knowledge and skills needed for training and retraining construction experimenters. This result is a necessary database for training units to complete teaching programs and learning activities for the experimenters, as well as for the Ministry of Construction promulgates policies on uniform management of training programs, fostering professional knowledge for specialized experimenters in order to meet the objective of improving the quality of construction judicial expertise and specialized tests in construction in Vietnam.
