Determination of wind forces acting on single-storey industrial building according to TCVN 2737 : 2023

Abstract

TCVN 2737:2023 is the latest update of TCVN 2737:1995, regarding
loads and impacts on building structures. The wind load calculation
method is updated with new coefficients, such as the gust effect
factor, the velocity pressure exposure coefficient and the external
– internal pressure coefficient on different surfaces of building.
The reliability coefficient for wind loads is increased by updating
the wind load cycle period for ULS. The paper analyzes, explains,
and establishes a procedure, including important notes when
applying the new standard to determine wind force on single-story
industrial buildings.
