Abstract

The Northern Midlands and Mountains region is a particularly important area in terms of politics, economy, society, national defense and security. It is the "fence" and northern gateway of the country and plays a decisive role in the energy resources, water resources and ecological environment of the entire Northern region. Although thís region has great potential for economic development, it is also a region with complex terrain, rugged fragmentation, and currently facing many difficulties, slow economic development, lack of infrastructure and weaknesses, especially in transportation, irrigation, urban-rural development, etc., and is often affected by natural disasters. In recent years, natural disasters have become increasingly complicated, especially landslides, rockslides, floods, and flash floods that occur frequently, causing serious losses in human life, property, and the ecological environment . This article summarizes and shares information related to the region, natural disasters, and impacts of climate change, and proposes a number of technical preparation solutions to help minimize impacts on the construction of residential areas in this region.
