Revegetation technical solutions to recovery the environment and reuse closed domestic solid waste landfill

Abstract

According to the provisions of the Law on Environmental Protection 2020, domestic solid waste landfills must be treated and restored after being closed [1]. During the implementation of the Law, up to now only a few provinces such as Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Quang Ninh, and City. Ho Chi Minh City,... has included a plan to convert household solid waste treatment methods and reuse the province's waste landfills. However, the actual implementation of the plan in these provinces has not been effective, and reuse solutions have not been chosen with specific instructions suitable to local conditions. Besides, these solid waste management plans have not been integrated and linked to green urban development planning targets [2,3]. This article presents research results on technical solutions related to the influence and solutions to problems of irrigation water sources, crop types, surface drainage and biogas control to support Support the effective implementation of environmental restoration for closed domestic solid waste landfills through the regeneration of vegetation to increase the proportion of green areas in urban areas, aiming to develop future green urban development in Vietnam.
