ABSTRACT
Public space is understood as a space that serves the needs of many people. Well-designed and well-maintained public spaces can create spaces for formal and informal activities in many sectors such as economy, culture, entertainment ..., helping users make the most services in the city. By
surveying and comparing some public spaces in the world and in Vietnam - The article presents the development of public spaces in urban areas. Investing in public space infrastructure improves urban productivity and gives people better access to public services.
